Introduce myself

i'd like share why i went from being a teenager determined to work in full time service for jehovah my entire life, to now being on here commiserating with you all.

i use to be an atheist but i now believe in god.

but i'm not preachy about god.

DanToole87, Welcome to this site where you can share and get "refreshment" for your soul. You have been put through so much. You sound like a good guy surrounded by big ego narcissists and they made you their target.

You had normal reactions to your sweetheart and did what normal human beings the world over do. Feel each other up to start with. It is not uncleanness it is normal behavior. The bad part was telling elders that love gossip and spreading stories, especially sexual content ones. You have no idea how they can embellish a simple story. At each others home and gatherings, some elders get their jollies telling these stories and making fun of the people that "confess" and tell them personal stuff.

Even you wife mentioning weed. Did she really have to tell on your personal business???

Narcissists get their jollies on hurting people. Damaging their reputations. They do it on purpose because they are twisted and it makes them happy to see a good person like yourself, have your life ruined. Your good reputation gone. Three (3) hours in service for one month under severe conditions and that wasn't good enough for them when you had voluntarily already done so much? Petty little mean spirited men. (You have no idea what things they might be up to in private. Probably would make your confessions look like small potatoes but they are in The Boys Club. You aren't and they (not god) deemed you unfit to be in their inter circle).

I am sorry you have been hurt so much. We on this site understand. We have been hurt and our good reputations dragged through the mud also.

Please continue to post and let us know how you are getting over the pain of it all.

November Is The Cruelest Month

i have been going through old papers and photographs since my mother passed away.

it has reminded me of some of the reasons that i really hate november.

this year has added to it obviously.. thirty-four years ago, my father passed away in early november.

JRK I hope you can rest tonight. You are a good son and you lost your beloved mother. No matter how much we dislike death, that is what happens to all living things. It doesn't make it any easier though. She was your hero. You of course miss her. To lose someone we love, is one of the hardest things that can happen to us.

To keep her memory alive you need to look after yourself. Be good to yourself like your mom was good to you. Eat well. Exercise. Get some fresh air. Remember all the good happy times. How sweet of you to light a cinnamon scented candle with a red cardinal on it. All for the happy time, memories of her.

I am sorry she had to leave you. All parents usually go first. It is just the way life is. If she could have stayed and lived to be 100, you know she would have stayed. She wouldn't want this to be such a painful time for you. You know she would want to comfort you and make you happy and not make you cry.

I am a mother myself. In your mom's behalf, would you mind if I might send you a big, warm, comforting hug to you, to help console you at this very sad time? I have fluffed your pillows and your bed is all warm and cosy. I kiss your forehead and wish you a good night and sweet dreams. I am sure your mom loved you very much and if you were my son, I would add before turning off the lights, good night my son. I love you JRK more than you will ever know. Night, night.

There is a circuit overseer. Before he joined the ranks of this prestiage step up the JW..org ladder, he was just the presiding overseer and prominant at all assemblys giving talks. He had a son.

In the same small congo there was an approperiate age girl. They did what normal teenagers do but did not use protection. Yes, she got pregnant. It just so happened her uncle was the district overseer.

Big surprise! No one got DF! Not when your Uncle Wayne is a district overseer. In fact... He came and gave the wedding talk!

Let's see. Education is bad except when you are GB Albert Schroeder's son Judah. Sex before marriage is bad unless your uncle is a district overseer.

@Hoser: Edmonton

While on vacation a special pioneer couple got cosy with us (which means the brothers wanted to share juicy stuff... ) and told us he was invited to go to the Elders school in Edmonton. The Bethel brother assigned at the last minute couldn't come so they assigned an elder from Edmonton to head it up. This special pio "T" said he did not like this elder at all. He was so self righteous and full of himself that it was hard to listen and pay attention to him, but he felt this was his failing and so he sat, listened etc.

Not too long after this, it comes out that this self righteous JW man... had been paying for an apartment for his pioneer girlfriend to stay in... for years! It was considered too big of a disgrace to DF them and have this made public knowledge, after all, God/Bethel had chosen him to take the Elders School, to set the example on how all elders were to act.

He quietly divorced, married his mistress and we were told they changed their last name and moved to Vancouver Island where after a short time became an elder again.

All swept under the rug.

So my PIMO Younger Brother Tried To Kill Himself Today

we all know that this cult will drive those trying to leave to desperate measures, and today by brother was very nearly one of those statistics.

he slashed his thigh with a kitchen knife and was bleeding out until he called the police.. i got a call on my way home from work from a police officer, coincidentally it was one of my old friends from school who's now a cop.

he told me my brother is in hospital after an attempted suicide and has lost some blood but will be ok. but i should get to the hospital as he's asking for me.

Your brother needs you. So glad you are there for him. He must be so scared and confused and horribly upset... but not with you! It melted my heart that you did what a decent person would do. You sat beside him and held his hand and gave him comfort.

As far as the HLC, I was involved in something serious, not me, but I was there. The patient was literally dying in front of our eyes and this moron HLC elder was grinning like an idiot saying what a fine witness is being given here today. I wanted to kick his a$$ into the universe.

If there is any way possible to convey to your dear sensitive sweetheart brother that there are friends out here, from all over the world on this site that care about you and him and all the ones that woke up to JW..org lies and left that we want him to get well and live a long and healthy and joyous life as far away from WT/JW..org as possible.

i have thought long and hard about this, you know in those midnight hours.. you will probably string me alive in what i say, but here you go-.

i feel that the jw's do have the truth.

i do agree with the doctrines and biblical exgenesis they propound.i do feel that they have the 'truth' i do understand they are imperfect, and i think they have had to 'refine' their teachings as time has gone on-and change accordingly- i see nothing wrong with this.

As a born in I was a true Believer because WT/JW..org told me their slant on what I was to think and do and that there are repercussions such as shunning if you question anything they write or say.

Before I got on the internet, as an Elder's wife of 40 years, I saw and was surrounded by WT corruption and hypocrisy so bad I knew I couldn't stay in that religious corporation any longer. When I turned here to Simon's site, I was floundering. Everything I was told to believe was a lie. What was I to do now?

The posters especially Leolaia and jgnet helped greatly but Snare&Racket PM me when I had a question. He told me kindly that there were other and older civilizations than the Bible. He himself after leaving London's Bethel had questions the Elders did not want to hear or answer. He left those unthinking took his personal time while stuying to be a Doctor and teaching himself Latin to help me to start using my head and start to question. Is something a true fact or someone just said something? He made me do my own research.

You are waking up. Hopefully, you will educate yourself about this world, that goes further back than WT/JW..org 6,000 years of mankind's existance.

Hint: It didn't start with a naked lady and a talking snake.

I was a born in that woke up at age 62. My narcissist abusive Elder husband was only finally deleted as an Elder after I fled to a woman's shelter for safety. The Elder's were angry at me, not him. They came to the house to tell me to read my Bible more, pray more, go out in service more (and also to tell me I couldn't talk to anyone because it would hurt Jehovah's feelings and might give the wrong impression to worldly (normal) people. My ex lied in Court. I called the Elder's that it is in written Court documents that he is a liar (since they wouldn't believe me). They said we don't get involved in Court proceedings.

JW..org beliefs are that 99.999% of people will die at their Big "A". Seven and one half billion people will die because they don't want to agree to JW..org's flip flop made up doctrines??? That does not make sense at all.

I know three (3) Elders who have PhD's. They got their higher degree after baptism while they were Elder's. They are all just nice guys. Family is in.

You do know that many JW's are in because it is just a big Boys Club and a social outlet for everyone?

It is my own belief based on what I saw and experienced that there are very few true Believers like I was. I was naive to the extreme. It was reading Crisis of Conscience by former governing body Ray Franz that woke me up. I was finished with the religion when I finished reading that book.

As far as preaching in University cities and having return visits, let alone Bible studies, no educated person has ever come to the hall or wanted any of the literature published by WT that I have been aware of.

JW's who have given up thousands of dollars worth of scholarship money, too numerous to post. They stayed poor and put the GB's Kingdom (in Brooklyn and now Walkill) first.

That is not fair for anyone to control another person's life and educational goals but JW..org does this.

JW..org Governing Body is not loving or truthful. They want everyone to change their thinking to confirm to what ever is their latest hair brain idea. All with the "promise" of a panda petting paradise. If you question anything you are out. That should be enough to wake anyone up from the FOG (fear, obligation, guilt) that JW..org puts on it's practioners.

Yes, you were one of the smart ones that woke up to WT lies.
